Note: To successfully create a shipment in Shipstore you'll need a profile with a connected carrier, and some services selected from that carrier (i.e. FedEx Ground from FedEx). Please make sure this has been completed before trying to ship in the system.
To create shipments in the system, first we will select Ship from the left navigation panel.
Selecting that will open the Ship Panel in the center of your web application. This will list the shipments that you've already processed. Here you can select to show more of your previous shipments, or filter the shipments given certain criteria.

To create a shipment, we will select Shipping Functions above and then select "Start Shipping". Creating a shipment in Shipstore can be done in one of two ways, manual entry or loaded in from an integration already set up within Shipstore. Select the appropriate option from this pop-up, and follow the corresponding directions below.
Manual Entry
After selecting manual entry you'll need to select what type of shipment you are wanting to do. Here we can select parcel shipping, third-party shipping, return shipping, international shipping, or LTL shipping.

Addresses
When prompted for an address, you can use an address code from your address books to autofill a ship to address if you have that data in your environment. If not, you can manually type in the company name, contact name, phone number, street lines, and city, state and zip code. When shipping to a US territory it is sometimes helpful to select the territory for the Country input (i.e. Puerto Rico)

Packages
If you are prompted for package info, you can either manually enter the weight or autofill the weight from a connected scale if you are running the merchant app on your station. You can also select a flat rate packaging option or select a predefined box size from this screen/manually enter in your dimensions.

If you have some advanced options for your package you can begin to input those by selecting the cog wheel icon. In this screen you can input some more advanced options at the package level. A declared value can be set for valuable packages, proof of delivery can be requested, or you can request no signature required or cash on delivery. Not all locations or services offer proof of delivery.

Once at the Carrier Info tab, you can select your service/rateshop and enter any other carrier related info. Once done, you can either rate the shipment, generate labels, or view the shipment details.

International
International Shipping requires more information than a typical domestic shipment so that the packages can be cleared through customs (i.e. description, value, reason for export, taxes terms). If you are looking to generate the customs paperwork electronically, make sure "Use Electronic Form" is checked and you have a Document Type selected.

You'll also be prompted to list your commodities of your shipment for these transactions. This info includes the description of the item, the quantity, weight, value, and country of manufacture.

LTL Shipping
LTL shipping is for less than truckload shipping. This mode requires the shipper list the commodities being shipped instead of the packages (i.e. NMFC class).

Voiding a Shipment
If a shipment was made in error or you need to cancel a shipment you will want to void said shipment. To do so You'll navigate to the shipment details panel, and you'll select the eye icon for a given shipment. On the detailed information page for a given shipment you'll select the Actions menu and then "Void Shipment."
